More than 25 university-wide scholarships are available to international students.

International students are eligible for more than 25 university-wide scholarships.
According to what the name suggests, university-wide scholarships are scholarships that are normally accessible for any topic, course, or area of study that is offered at the university. These scholarships often cover all or the majority of the courses that are provided by the university, but there may be certain exclusions (for example, studies in medicine, dentistry, law, or master’s degree programs).

Non-EU/EEA students in the Netherlands may get NL Scholarships.

With funding from the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, the NL Scholarships, which were formerly known as the Holland Scholarship, are designed to provide financial assistance to international students from countries that are not part of the European Economic Area (EEA) who are interested in pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at one of the Dutch research universities or universities of applied sciences in Holland. There will be a scholarship of €5,000 awarded.

Danish government scholarships for non-EU/EEA students

In order to provide financial assistance to foreign students from countries outside of the European Union and the European Economic Area who are highly qualified and motivated and who intend to pursue full degree higher education programs at Danish universities that are participating in the program, the Danish Ministry of Education offers a number of scholarships each year. In addition to providing grants to help pay your living expenses, the scholarship may also be awarded in the form of full or partial exemptions of tuition fees.

Excellence Scholarships from Leiden University

It is possible to apply for the Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme (LExS) if you are a non-EU/EEA student who is studying any of the Master of Arts, Master of Science, or Master of Laws programs that are offered at Leiden University. There are three different types of scholarships available: ten thousand euros toward the tuition charge, fifteen thousand euros toward the tuition fee, or the complete tuition price less the house fee.

Maastricht University (Netherlands) high-potential student scholarships

With the exception of the School of Business and Economics, Maastricht University (UM) provides the UM High Potential Scholarships to students who are exceptionally brilliant and come from outside the European Economic Area (EEA). These scholarships allow students to pursue a master’s degree or graduate program for professionals that is offered at the University. The scholarships cover the costs of both tuition and living expenses on a monthly basis, as well as insurance and visa fees.

Radboud University Scholarship Program

The Radboud Scholarship Programme provides a limited number of exceptionally brilliant students who are not citizens of the European Economic Area with the chance to take advantage of a scholarship that will allow them to study a Master’s degree program at Radboud University Nijmegen that is taught entirely English. The scholarship is comprised of a partial tuition waiver, which means that the student will not be required to pay the tuition charge to the same extent as an EEA student. Furthermore, the Radboud Scholarship further covers expenses such as those associated with obtaining a visa, a residency permit, health insurance, and liability insurance.

Lund University scholarships for non-EU/EEA students

The Lund University Global Scholarship program is designed to provide financial support to outstanding students who are enrolled in a Master’s degree program at the university and are nationals of countries that are not members of the European Union or the European Economic Area (or Switzerland). The scholarships may cover a percentage of the tuition charge equal to 25%, 50%, 75%, or even 100%. There is no coverage for living expenses.
